From small-town Iowa to one of Arizona’s most trusted names in pet care, Liz Illg has turned her lifelong passion for animals into a beloved, community-rooted brand. What started as a college pet-sitting hustle evolved into Puff & Fluff Grooming—now a multi-location business built on compassion, consistency, and community.

Liz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Education from Northern Arizona University. Her love of learning, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to service continue to guide her every day—as a leader, volunteer, and advocate for both pets and people.

She’s more than a pet industry leader. Liz is a mentor, coach, and visionary who helps others turn their passion into purpose. Whether you’re a pet parent, a fellow entrepreneur, or someone seeking more joy and structure in your everyday life, Liz’s mission is simple: to help people (and pets) thrive.

Beyond the grooming table, Liz is known for giving back. She’s partnered with local businesses to host pet rescue raffles, been featured on major Arizona media outlets, and volunteers her time with Gabriel’s Angels for many years. Her drive comes from building relationships, uplifting her team, and leading with heart.

Fun Fact: February 1, 2016 Puff and & Fluff Arcadia became the second location to open. Previously known as Most Valuable Pet Grooming, this location has been in operation since 1980. MVP Grooming had locations in Town & Country, Camelback and 40th Street, but its current location is now at Indian School Road and 48th Street. This location has had three owners.

Fun Fact: The original Uptown Puff & Fluff building has served people and their pets since 1973! Puff & Fluff adopted this location March 1, 2013. The business itself has only changed hands twice since it first opened its door. The modest storefront has been renovated and continues to inspire everyone that walks in.
