We’ve all thought about it…wouldn’t the world be a better place if it we let it go to the dogs? Always loyal, joyful, and full of energy, dogs are not only pets – they are our friends and companions. If dogs ruled the world, things would pawsitively be different, but in all of the best ways! In honor of National Dog Week this month (Sept. 23-29), we’re indulging the idea of our furry friends taking over the universe. What do you think life would be like if dogs were in charge? Let us know in the comments below!

  • Forget baseball, football, and soccer! Fetch would definitely be the new national sport! Dog parks would surely take the place of stadiums and sports arenas! And we think Gretchen Wieners would agree, “that’s so fetch!”

  • Forget coins, dollars, and credit cards! The new form of currency would definitely be tennis balls. And frisbees. And dog treats. Oh, and belly rubs of course!
  • Forget prejudice, abuse, and cages! Dogs are the purest creatures on the planet who know no evil. Color-blind and blindly optimistic, dogs don’t have time for bad behavior!
  • Forget working nine to five…or working at all! It’s a dog’s world, remember?! Every minute is reserved for playing, eating, napping, or trying to catch your tail!
  • Forget the White House! Dogs will have control over the Dog House! Except, it won’t have the same implications as it does now! Being a member of the Dog House will always be a pawsitive thing!

While we may never live in a world where dogs rule, we can always daydream, right? The least we can do is learn from our furry friends and apply their actions and outlook to our daily lives.

Take things less seriously and enjoy all the little things!

Most dogs spend their days waiting for the moment his or her human walks back through the door…as soon as you leave, they can’t wait to greet you again! We can all learn to apply that same love and gratitude across all aspects of our lives. We never know what’s going to happen and we can all take a page from a dog’s book to live life to the fullest! Anything is pawsible if we judge less, laugh more, and keep wagging our tails!
